Farewell 2014. Again we are at the end of another year. We all look back at the year and wonder where it has gone and say to ourselves we must do those things we didn’t. But life often gets in the way of those plans. Maybe next year. I see the people of the world treat each other so poorly I wonder if I can do anything to change it. I have no answer. Maybe if we all stopped hating one person that we believe we hate for a week. We could see that person for who they are and maybe, just maybe, we would work out the way to live in peace on this planet. Through the year I have seen the passing of many people, the very innocent, the very brave and the famous. Sadly I am aware that while these people were seen to leave us so many other left this mortal coil without the fanfare. People who through no fault of their own were taken without reason, the children whose lives were only short but became the world to the ones who loved them most, the ones surrounded by loved ones, some with those they never knew and other who did so alone and lonely. But each one should be remembered and loved as we all must do the same thing and we can only hope to be a lucky as the few who had those loved ones around them. I am one of the lucky ones this year, I have my friends and my children. I find peace in the knowledge they are the people I am happiest to surround myself with. To all of you. May the year ahead be one with laughter and love. Your lives be cherished and remembered. That somewhere in this world a loved one spares a thought for you and some of your dreams come true.
