Farewell 2014! Passion for Brilliance! Finally, it is here, I bid my farewell to 2014 and to write this last message as your Chapter President. Some say it is hard to bid farewell, but I am happy and have always believed that a finish is just a step forward to another great beginning. Looking forward to be Immediate Past President and take up the new challenge as 2015 JCI UN Affairs Commission Committee Member for Asia and the Pacific. Over the last month, I have said my thanks and appreciations to many of you in person, on the phone, in Facebook, in just whatever means of communication possible. Honestly, it is difficult to say THANKS to all and hopefully you all know it comes from the bottom of my heart. As long as you are reading this, you must have cared about the Chapter and our activities, which I am deeply grateful for all your support throughout this year. I tried my best to compress and highlight the tremendous journey in a 4-minute video to recap highlights of this year. No doubt, it has been one year filled with PASSION FOR BRILLIANCE. With passion, it drove us to reach out to a neglected class of our community (rehabilitated offenders) and to speak for social peace in the Care & Dare project. With passion, it also intrigued us to connect with our global UN partners with 2014 Nothing But Coffee fundraising for UN Foundation - Nothing But Nets. With passion, it motivated each and every Jayceettes to make a joyous symphony to celebrate our 45th Anniversary! From this year, I learnt many valuable life lessons on management, leadership, communication and even relationships. I have said this before, I am not a perfect leader and may not be one this year. However, I appreciate this chance for me to learn and will continue to be better in many of new opportunities to come. I am tremendously proud to be your President this year and thank you for letting me have this chance to be part of this brilliance. The brilliance of Jayceette members is forever and I am so blessed to have these moments in my life. Thank you Past Presidents, Senators and senior members that laid down the strong brilliant foundation, thank you to all project chairmen and organizing committee members, and thank you to 20 new brilliant Newbies (prospective and new members) that were inspired to join our journey this year. Of course, I cannot say enough, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my NAEO, 2014 Board of Directors, Presidential Advisor, Panel of Advisors and Committee Chairmen for all your unyielding service and pursuit for brilliance. We proudly took home four awards this year at the JCI Hong Kong 49th National Convention. The award of Best Chapter of the Area symbolizes Jayceettes passion for success and it is a prize for all members. And we also wouldnt have achieved such success without many great community partners and supporters this year! Thank you to Patrons, donors, sponsors, organizations, businesses, overseas partners and friends that believed in us to walk this passionate and brave journey with us. In the last 365 days, we laughed, we cried, we screamed, we cheered; may these moments now be history and may we cherish forever. Please give your support to 2015 President Naomi and the Board – “Care to Aspire, Dare to Inspire”. Lets us continue to support JCI Hong Kong Jayceettes, and celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement together by creating more impact in our society.
