Faroes Update: Six Sea Shepherd crew are in In a Faroese court - TopicsExpress

Faroes Update: Six Sea Shepherd crew are in In a Faroese court currently. Charges are hindering the hunt of pilot whales and not following police orders when police asked them to leave the water. Well that was what they were there for - to hinder the killing of whales. In Denmark, a nation that supposedly abides by European Union regulations banning whaling, the Danish police and Navy ordered 6 people, three of whom are European citizens to not hinder a whaling operation that is illegal under European law. It is the obligation of every European citizen to uphold European conservation and environmental laws. It is the obligation of every world citizen under the U.N. World Charter for Nature to uphold conservation law. This will either be a kangaroo court or a fair trial. If a fair trial, the defendants will be exonerated for being good citizens, if convicted for protecting whales in Europe it will demonstrate one thing, and one thing only - that this court in Torshaven is nothing more than a kangaroo court, serving the special interests of unlawful whalers. Charged are: Maggie Gschnitzer (Italy)(Sandoy Island Leader) Rorigio Gilkuri (Mexico) Nikki Botha (South Africa) Monnique Rossouw (South Africa) Sergio Toribio (Spain) Alexandra Sellet (France) Sea Shepherd
