Fascinating article... Its something that Obama, and even many of us willfully refuses to understand too,. Thaas long as the Dow is up everything is supposed to be rainbows. They so like to pretend you can have an capitalist economy without producing anything of merit -- really the essence of capitalism in the first place. There was just a great interview with Stiglitz on how we dont produce anything of merit, perceived economic growth only comes from investments -- land, stocks, debt, etc. Essentially all we are good at is making bubbles because the entitlement generations want to pretend they are Downton Abbey, and if you count the recessions since 1980 he is obviously on to something.
