Fascinating on any number of levels, but it does reiterate a point Ive often made, i.e. that white people did not invent slavery and that it has existed among and between every societal group as long as there have been humans. This is in no way meant to ameliorate the horror of american slavery, or to blame the victim, or any other sort of apology to or for anyone. It is only to point out that as long as we keep looking to assign blame externally, we will perpetuate the problem, namely, us. All of our problems arise from our own psychology and until we address this, learn to recognize our actual nature and try to devise a social system that promotes our best rather than our worst qualities, we will continue to fail, to suffer, and, probably, to extinguish.
