I wonder if this might cause a red shift increasing with distance. Ive always suspected that the proportional red shift of distant objects was not necessarily caused by movement but possibly by some phenomenon that slows the frequency of photons over large distances. If thats true then perhaps Dark matter doesnt exist and the universe gets much simpler.
