Later you can linger in a lounge presided over by a mounted moose head and drink cocktails while the Mexican nanny takes care of your kids. Or head to the shops to buy a $10,000 bronze statuette of a mountain goat for the hallway of your $15-million holiday home. Finally, you move on to a restaurant draped in knotted wood and cowhide, and tuck into a steak the size of Texas with a side of truffle fries as you hoot and holler in satisfaction about the day’s snow conditions. The mostly Mexican waitstaff smile and smile and pour iced water, and live in concrete apartment blocks down the valley overlooked by the four-lane highway, and think of their kids back home.
