Fast food employees are being encouraged to strike in seven major - TopicsExpress

Fast food employees are being encouraged to strike in seven major cities across America today. It’s no coincidence Obama is on a campaign to impose liberal economic policies and is giving a speech today. Striking employees in these mostly liberal cities might want to reconsider the wisdom of their actions when they consider the average unemployment in those cities, however. While the US unemployment average stands at 7.6%, among the cities where employees are striking, the average unemployment is 10.71%, or nearly 30% greater as a percentage of the unemployment rate. In Flint, Michigan, the unemployment rate is 15.5%, and in Detroit (which Obama kept from bankrupting!) the rate is 16%. So not terribly bright. Huffington Post reports that burger-flippers could earn $15 an hour if McDonald’s would only increase their food prices by 17%. McDonald’s profit margin is about 19.9% over the last five years. Why run a business when you run a charity? Maybe then McDonald’s would get bigger tax breaks! Would buying Big Macs be a charitable donation to the collective state worker?
