Fatal Accident on Lake Ave in the Town of Lockport On May 31, 2014 at 1244 hours the Niagara County Dispatch Center received a call of a motor vehicle accident in front of 4135 Lake Avenue, Lockport, N.Y. On patrols arrival,it was observed that a 2002 Buick Century had gone off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree. The female driver of the vehicle was deceased at the scene. Investigation conducted reveals that the Buick was north bound on Lake Avenue and suddenly left the east side of the roadway, striking a driveway culvert, mailbox, and finally the tree. The investigation is continuing by the Niagara County Sheriffs Accident Investigation Unit. Name being withheld at this time.
