Father, I am coming to you today on behalf of the entire population of the world, being both bold and humble, asking for your protection from those who wish us harm and seek to destroy our very existence. Seeking your mercy and your grace as we rise each day not knowing what our future may hold and what terror we may witness or be subject to enduring. I ask that you forgive us for our ignorance, our selfishness, and our attitudes with one another, our arguing, our division and our apathy toward evil doers and pray that you will ignite in us the blinding light we so desperately need in this the darkest of hours. I know that there are those who have cursed your name, mocked you and even corrupted your Word, and you are just and righteous in your judgments which are upon us, but Father I ask that you have mercy on your creation and help us to see beyond the veil of deceit that has so long covered our eyes and our hearts. Forgive us for thinking that we are above you and the Kingdom of Heaven and for allowing our hearts to be hardened and our minds to be controlled by the desires of our flesh and not seeking spiritual fulfillment. I come before you now asking that we as your children be equipped with the love and the knowledge and the power of the throne of Heaven to overcome the evil that has spilled into ever fiber of our lives. Fill us with your truth and let us be a beacon to those who are fumbling around in the darkness, devastated and in ruin because of the evil that now controls this beautiful world. Help us to share your nature with those who seek it and may that number increase beyond our human imagination. Let us flood the world with love and compassion at such a rate that evil will run in fear, cowering towards repentance, if it is at all possible, bringing their misdeeds to light and being transformed by your mercy and your grace. You said all things are possible to them that believe and even though I am one among countless others, I believe. It is with a heavy and broken heart I present this request to you, knowing the state of our world. I am running on pure faith in your promises and the knowing in my heart, you are not a man that you should lie. I may be asking for the impossible in man’s eyes, but according to your Word and to my savior whom you sent to purchase my forgiveness and my inheritance, nothing is impossible. Take away our fear, and our regret so that we may be open to all you have to give us and to do what Jesus set out to do…save the world. I ask this in the name of your son, Amen. JDD
