Father, we come on a day filled with the possibilities of storms and heavy rains while others are in a severe drought, heat blankets the Northwest, unusually cool temperatures. Some wonder why while some curse and point fingers. No matter what the situation we’ve learn to be content. So Father we thank You for being God and in control. We do thank You for this day and with all it brings we will still praise Your name. Your handy work on and in the things around us tells us that You are a God of the large as well and the small and create and design things we can’t see. What an awesome God You are. How can we not fall down and worship You with song, praise and a joyful noise. Father the signs of the times are everywhere yet many never see or comprehend their meaning. Sin has crept into our way of life and it has become normal what You abhor. We so often remember the words You spoke to Solomon at the dedication of the temple “ when sickness come, when the crops die”, If My people who are called by name shall humble themselves, seek My face turn from their evil ways and pray I will”. Father it’s a fact “the ball is in our court”. One voice tells us we are ok while the other voice tells us to repent and many don’t know Your voice and oblivious the signs. “Open our eyes that we might see Lord”. Father forgive our sings and for those who have been in a far off country feeding swine may they come to themselves and return to the Masters table. We pray for the lost that the scales would fall off their eyes that they may see their sinful condition and turn to You. We pray for our little ones and our military. Keep them safe. In Jesus name. Amen.
