Favorite dozen rose drop moment from my 20th wedding anniversary: I found the home of a homeless man, a bedroll, a stained pillow, some crushed and empty beer cans, stuffed into an alcove on the side of a building. It was clear that this was his home. I left a white rose there, laid gently on top of his bedroll. It wont feed him. It wont get him sober. It wont house him. But maybe when he returned to his home today and found it, he smiled. Maybe he looked around, intrigued a bit by the mystery. Maybe he felt a bit of the love it was laid there with. Maybe it made him feel as if someone cared enough to share a rose with him. Sometimes the best gift isnt the practical gift. Love is so rarely practical. What a fabulous anniversary, and it aint over yet. ;)
