#Fayose warns police against extortion# Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has warned policemen in the State against capitalising on the present security situation in the State to extort motorists, especially Okada riders. The governor, who said he had commissioned some men to monitor the activities of the policemen mounting roadblocks in Ado Ekiti, the State capital, added that any policeman found to be extorting money from motorists will be handed over to appropriate authority. According to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor appealed to Okada riders in the State to bear with the State government. He said the hardship being faced by the Okada Riders and their passengers was occasioned by the quest by the police to secure the lives and properties of residents of the State. Governor Fayose urged the Okada Riders to continue to cooperate with security agents in their bid to rid the State of criminals, saying; he was aware of the hardship being faced by Okada Riders and their passengers and I want to appeal to them to bear with the government and security agents.
