Fear not men, but fear Me. AlQuran Through the Quran, Allah at - TopicsExpress

Fear not men, but fear Me. AlQuran Through the Quran, Allah at once draws the reader to Himself by evoking the fundamentals of the relationship of man to Allah: an assurance to the reader that this relationship is sincerest, and deserves the most of the reader. Mans connection with Allah. When Allah says fear not men He strikes the chord that worries us all. And so He liberates us from the shackles humans have put us in. By being under the service of only One Sovereign we save ourselves from the servitude -that results from fear of people-of countless ephemeral beings. This is how beautifully Islam operates at both spiritual and psychological levels to uplift human beings from fetters uncalled for. The chains that confine. What is this fear? Identifying the disease for a remedy is essential. Fear is the greatest tool in the hands of Satan- to stop people from doing the right thing. Taking the step in the right direction. Fearful as we are to fulfil the commands of Allah, Shaytaan magnifies this fear. He magnifies our worry about future. Since shaytaan has avowed the meanest promise to lead us astray at every opportunity where we leave a loose end, fear is readily available in all forms of plastic packaging: fear of people, society, ones reputation, standing in a society, fear of rizq, fear of unknown, and the fear of future. Plasticity of fear: Plastic, because fear is unreal, temporary, a veneer about to erode- and fake. In retrospect, positive decisions not made or negative actions not curtailed out of fear of people will always be regretted. Only an act done with the purity of intention for Allah and Allah alone will live on. Actions done for people, to please them, will die with them one day and plus we will never find people grateful enough for the favours we did to them. Solution: paradigm shift from people centric to Allah centric If we purify our intentions to please Allah in our dealings with people, majority of our problems like a wish e.g to fit in a circle, peer pressure, and psychological duress arising from all societal pressures would at once evaporate. So let us promise ourselves that if there is anything that is holding us back in our relationships, dealings or the ability to speak the truth, we will not be deterred by people. Just remember they will all die. Because we dont want to fall in the trap of regret in the long run. We will instead do what Allah loves and how He wants us to be because He ultimately controls the hearts of people we are afraid of. Because we want our actions to continue to matter to someone why not make take Allah as that someone we want. Allah liberates Muslims ( all those people who want to acquire peace by submitting their will to Allah swt). Islam is not oppressive, man made norms and mores are.
