February 2008, the year Arsenal were cruising to end their 2 year trophy drought, as they were 10 points ahead of 2nd place Manchester United, before Eduardo da Silva, our best and only striker available broke his leg in a match against Birmingham. That season was the one, where we had a great chance of winning the league. WE FAILED ! Just because of the fact that we didnt have a quality striker, as a backup. 6 years down the road, February 2014, Arsenal has the best chance to win the league in 6 years, 9th year without a league. Same situation ! We have Olivier Giroud as our only renown striker available, we have Podolski as well, but Wenger isnt giving him game time at all. With Theo and Ramsey out for most of the time, we have already been jolted. But, losing Giroud would be a massive loss. Wenger had to sign a striker in January to add a decent backup to Giroud. Because, come on. Any striker would be better than Bendtner ffs. BUT, NO !! We didnt ! Really hoping that Giroud stays injury free and in form till the next 4 months. Ali
