February 9th 2011 Soccer Prince Winner earns pro contract The winner of the very first Soccer Prince show in China has earned his first professional football contract. Jin Hui was the winner of Soccer Prince China and won a one year development contract at English Premier League Club, Everton FC. Following his highly successful 12 months on Merseyside, the 22 year old full back gained further experience with Ferencvaros in Hungary and the Chengdu Blades in China before being snapped up by Chinese First Division side, Beijing Ba Xi last summer. Jin Hui was offered a five year contract by the ambitious Beijing club but opted for a shorter term to allow him the freedom to realise his dream of possibly earning a contract in Europe. The strong talented full back was quick to pay tribute to the Soccer Prince show and Everton Football Club, “Soccer Prince gave me a wonderful opportunity to show my skills and changed my life. I learned so much at Everton Football Club and now when I am playing for my club, everything that I have learned from the show and from Everton helps me in every game.” Jin Hui is also benefitting from his English language education that was also part of his prize, he explained, “Now we have some foreign players in our team in Beijing and I sometimes have to help to interpret for them”. Everton Academy Director, Ray Hall, paid tribute to Jin Hui and the Soccer Prince format during the players time at the club, he commented “Through the Soccer Prince show we did not just get a player, we got a rounded individual because of the diverse nature of the format. When Jin Hui arrived at the club he was understandably two to three years behind players of the same age at the club, in terms of development.
