Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Saturday claimed to have collected Rs 3.734 billion additional revenue on account of indirect tax, due to budgetary measures. According to provisional statistics available to the Revenue Body had generated additional revenue amounting to Rs 640.93 million after increase in standard rate of sales tax from 16 percent to 17 percent in local supplies while the impact of this rate escalation on imports stood at Rs 2.68 billion.
