Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thursday said grand consensus would be evolved before taking any action to maintain law and order in Karachi, the commercial hub of the country. Replying to a point of order the minister said ‘Grand consensus is required to take any action in Karachi to maintain law and order. There is hope that it will be evolved, he added. The Minister said a special meeting of the Cabinet will be held at Governor House in Karachi to discuss the prevailing law and order situation in the provincial metropolis. Opposing handing over of Karachi to Army he said this will be a disrespect to the mandate of the Sindh Government. He assured that all the steps will be taken after consultation with the provincial government.
