Feed The Flock, Don’t Feed On The Flock1 Pet. 5:1-4 Jesus said on the day of judgment some ministers will say “in Your name we cast out demons and effect healing”, but He will tell them, “depart from me, you workers of iniquities” (Matt. 7:22-23). The reason for this response from Jesus is because those ministers are not faithful in their ministerial assignment. They are people who use charm to enhance their popularity, they feed on the sheep by forcefully but tactfully extorting money from members and lording it over their members. But for those who are faithful in their assignments, feeding the flock with the undiluted word of God, taking care of the members’ welfare and being honest in all that they do, men will appreciate them with double honor on earth, and God will give them crown of glory in heaven. Are you qualified? Point of Emphasis: When the chief shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory.Prayer Point: Lord, help me to fulfill my ministry faithfully.
