Feeling Truly BLESSED!!! Ive learned a few things in 2014. The first- always make sure the garage door is open before backing out your car. Enough said about that one. The second, I learned today. I always know that God is looking over us but today it really hit home. This morning I woke up and made a cookie platter for some of our friends, and then around 815 went off to work. Around 915 Brad woke up by the smoke detector going off. He came out of his bedroom to find the kitchen, dining area and hallway full of smoke!!! Not knowing, this morning when I was making the cookie tray, I accidently turned on one of the burners on the stovetop and then had 2 of my plastic cookie containers on the stovetop. The plastic cookies containers were burning on the stove top. Luckily, Brad was home and pulled them off and got everything under control. I dont want to think of what would of happened if Brad wasnt home or if the smoke detectors didnt work. Besides a terrible terrible burnt plastic smell in the house all is well. GOD IS GOOD! SO, lesson 2, DONT keep things on the stove top and keep your smoke detectors working!!! For some reason my husbands sense of humor on my 2 life lessons learned this year is not very good.
