Feeling a little better today. Not hurting yet. Dont have much of an appetite, but I did eat a little cereal this morning. Going to try some dinner in a few minutes. Ron Vigiel, a friend and US Navy veteran from Deluth, Ga (Hes the guy that sent a film crew from Atlanta to interview some of our veterans of the Pendleton American Legion and also made the independent movie I had a part in (NO CHOPSTICKS) called and asked me to meet him at the Islander for lunch. Said he had some ideas that he wanted to talk over with me about veteran business and the Civil War Books that I have written. My friend and veteran, Jim Brock came over and he and I went up to Pendleton for the meeting. While waiting for Ron to get there, we stopped by The Cobblers Shop to speak with our friend and veteran of the US Armys 173rd Airborne Division, Jim Wilson. After visiting with him we visited with Skip and Cindy Steel at their gift shop on the square. I like to talk to Skip because he worked with the SC State Wildlife Dept for many years and has lots of intresting stories to tell. I told him that he needs to write a book about all his experiences he had while working with the wildlife. Maybe he will one day. We had a good meeting with Ron and he gave me some great ideas about doing veterans stuff that will be intresting for the community and our veterans. He said he would help us with the event. I had already been pondering doing some of this stuff, but he took it to a higher level. Ill inform you folks a little later about the ideas we have. What we do will be a good thing for the community. If I continue to feel well, I plan to visit with the brothers at the Masonic Lodge this evening in Pendleton. See you!
