Feeling a little bruised and more tender than usual. I got conversationally steamrolled and dogmatically smacked around today. Took a walk around town, happened to be wearing my habit. The habit is a funny thing; it can provoke both desperately beautiful and gaspingly hurtful conversations - sometimes with the same person. Only one person out of scores of people was nasty - but his nastiness was coiled up inside just telling the truth and Im sure he means well and I respect your path, but and the worst bit, Ill definitely pray for you, my fallen brother. Ive always been leery of the damage that empirical doctrinal blacknwhite religion can do... I guess I just never thought itd be so stabby toward me. So, I guess Ill lick my wounds for a little bit and then redouble my commitment to Love beyond belief. Mercy, but this is a tough road we tread, eh?
