Feeling blessed and thankful today. I had a close call on I-65 last night due to my panicked reaction to a situation. First of all I am not real experienced driving the interstate at night. A driver in a pickup apparently had me in his blind spot and was pulling over in my lane about to hit me. It scared me and I reacted badly. Instead of blowing the horn or checking the lane beside me and pulling over, I jerked the wheel too hard and my car started swerving all over the place out of my control. I felt like I was going to turn over but my car righted itself. I was fortunate that I didnt hit another car or that one didnt hit me. My daughter was getting ready to exit 65 and witnessed what was happening and thought I had a health emergency. She said a car in the lane next to me pulled back as I was swerving. She followed me until we had to go our separate ways and after we talked on the cell phone and I told her I was okay except for being a little shaken up. Things can happen so quickly!
