Feeling blessed today for having Tasha for over 11 years. Tammy and I got her from a crack house in Baltimore. Against my better judgment at the time (for giving a crackhead $200, not for getting her), I got a starving 15 month old puppy that lived in a 10 x 10 yard full of dog crap, and she was covered in it. We immediately took her to the vet, and found she was healthy, just very under fed at 52lbs. A few years later, she was over 100lb and the sweetest, most affectionate dog ever. Not to mention the best watchdog by far that Ive ever seen. She had 11 healthy puppies, and lived a long and full life. She truly brought so much joy to Tammy and I through out the years. We had to put her down today, and it surely wasnt an easy decision. Like I said earlier, I do feel truly blessed for the time we had with her. We still currently have 2 Rottweilers, that are also rescues. If you have the opportunity to rescue an animal, Im telling you, youll get way more back than you give, and they never forget.
