Feeling happy. The craft-o-grams that we deliver to the oncology unit at Childrens Mercy were a grand prize winner in FamilyFun magazines June/July issue. We missed the boat for being on the Today show as they were trying to reach us when we were literally on the boat chaperoning a senior trip. Bummer, but working with one of the local TV stations next week. Have already got calls from others wanting to do this at their local childrens hospitals. As a cancer survivor, I feel its mission accomplished if these craft kits can provide even a brief distraction from pain or worry to some precious child somewhere facing this awful disease.
