Feeling pretty good. Am still a bit stiff on the left side, but unless I actually poke my arm and hip they dont hurt and theres virtually no swelling. There is a spectacular large bruise pattern on the hip. At first I thought I had one large very distinct bruise where the car hit me and a more diffuse bruise where I hit the asphalt, but now it is all one kind of c-shaped bruise. I think it is the outline of the front part of the car, so it is all initial impact bruising. Its kind of interesting for may you live in interesting times values of interesting. As a number of you have pointed out that I wouldnt necessarily know if I had a hairline fracture, Im going to start calling doctors on my health plan that are accepting patients to see if one can fit me in to have a look and make an actual sound medical decision about whether I need an x-ray (as opposed to my art history major opinion of the pain has stopped and I dont want to make a fuss because ill feel stupid if nothing is wrong, since under the circumstances I think Im probably entitled to a bit of a fuss. ) Also, as a friend pointed out to me, I need a GP anyway, and if a medical practice isnt willing to try to fit me in sooner rather than later when I explain that I got hit by a car, it is probably not the practice group I want to be going to.
