Feeling snurfish, joint-achey and shivery. Walking from Forge down - TopicsExpress

Feeling snurfish, joint-achey and shivery. Walking from Forge down to town then plodding on determinedly to Dyfi Bridge for a spot of seasonal chainsaw-work and bonfire has done little to improve matters although it was pleasant at the time. Think one of the resident valley lurgs has taken hold. But wait! - I helped my neighbour - in terms of the guy whose garden in next to mine - load waterlogged carpet from his home into his motor to go to Potters. Just an inch of floodwater in his cottage Thursday night - but that is all that is required, and unfortunately he happened to be away at a family funeral hundreds of miles out of the valley when it occurred. Compared to my feverishness and aches, and people complaining about the flood gates being unlocked later than need be, making things inconvenient for them, I think it generated a sense of perspective. An early night is in order....
