Feeling very discouraged. After several visits to a neurosurgeon, I had an appointment today to sign papers and schedule surgery. After sitting there an hour just to get in, and another hour as he again went through mri, x-rays and cat scan, Im back to square one. Now I have to find an orthopedic specializing in the spine. The highly recommended surgeon Ive been seeing tells me Im too young to do all he needs to do and Ill wind up back in for more surgery because the rest of the joints will continue to disintegrate until there is nothing left to fuse. He says hes never seen this so bad in someone my age. And this has been going on for over 10 years now. Wants me to get a second opinion before we do anything. Ive never had a doctor tell me he wanted a second opinion. Looks like its gonna be a long drawn out winter. Im so sick of being passed around from doctor to doctor the past couple of years.
