Feeling whiney. Foolishly impulsively upgraded to Yosemite and now my non-Mac peripherals and old accessories dont work. I have had many sessions with Mac support and my own (expensive) tech guy. Reinstalled Chrome. Cant use the Indiewire video uploader, HP officejet all-in-one printer (not on 10.10 compatible list at HP), or HP monitor. I will have piles of useless HP 88 ink cartridges unless I can find the officejet printer that still uses them. AND, I had to buy a new vacuum cleaner, my dryer has developed a loud squeak that is only getting worse, and my electrician disconnected the back of the dishwasher during a recent visit, so the thing tips out when you pull out the top and the bottom at the same time. Nora comes over to do her laundry and says accusingly, Mom, is everything broken at your house? This is at my absolute busiest time of year--the story queue is a mile high. So Im shopping for a new monitor and printer, need to call repairman for dryer, and feel resentful that my stupid Mac upgrade cost me a lot of money. Will I be happy with my nifty new strictly Mac-supported products? Eventually.
