Fellow GRP Enthusiasts, I find myself in the very fortunate - TopicsExpress

Fellow GRP Enthusiasts, I find myself in the very fortunate position of travelling to Germany in Septemer, and being able to consider looking for a GRP mare to import to Australia. Those of you who know me well will already know that I am an advocate of trying to ensure genetic diversity in the small number of ponies that we are able to import to Australia, or access via AI. I think this is important to the long term future of GRPs in Australia....however I also appreciate that collaboration is also not always in each individuals best business interests. That said, I am hoping that by placing this post people might consider sharing information about import plans.....if not publicly, perhaps even just via PM. While I plan to import for a combination of competition pony and breeding pony purposes....I would personally hate to accidentally import a genetic duplicate of someone elses very valuable investment :-) So, please consider touching base with me if you have import plans....we can share the trials and tribulations of the process. Equally, full GRP mare owners.....please consider putting a message below with your mares details. I know most of them, but would love to have a little reference book of which bloodlines not to duplicate while I am being overwhelmed by nice ponies in Germany. Thanks in advance, Jocelyn
