Fellow Rover people I wonder if anyone can help me identify this rattle from the engine of my 1966 2000. I thought it might be a water pump or dynamo bearing but have checked both and both are ok. Ive has the top cover off and everything looks okay ie no cracks in the cam bearing caps. It sounds worse on the rear left of the engine but could just be transmitting there from somewhere else. Could it be a timing chain rattle? Shes has a tinkling top chain for a while but this is completely different an new. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Thanks.
