Fellow business folk, the self employed. Those who are still at work at 730pm on a Sunday... I have a question... Why do you bother? I could be on considerable money with the skills I have. I could be working for a company, I could go home at 5 and have weekends off. I could chase a career that comes with holidays and sick leave and private health care and a company car and travel expenses. Instead I struggle, I live on far less than minimum wage and work more hours than most. I drive an old car and I dont own new shoes. People on Centrelink have more liquid spending potential than I do. Dont get me wrong, this is not a whinge status. I have made some very incredible business partners and I know that I have built a company with the potential and likelyhood to make me very wealthy in the not so distant future and I have made the choice to do the things i do. But I want to know why the other people who have chosen this lifestyle have done so. I need to know. If you know any talented entrepreneurs please tag them here for discussion. Has anyone thought about it and then not done it? What was your motivation? Basically I am in my office climbing the walls looking for a way out and need some interesting talk to keep me at my desk.
