Fellow quilters needing a laugh tonight; yesterday I was working with a group of church ladies on their service project for the year. They are making quilts for seriously ill children, Quilts for Kids, a great service project. Industriously working away, I was having trouble with the mitered corners of the binding I was working on. I couldnt seem to see well enough to get them right. I asked my friend twice to help me...,the third time I insisted she stop her work and pin the corners for me, it was taking me way too long. As she was pinning them for me, I expressed concern that my vision was bad enough to stop me from doing a simple quilting task. In the evening I was trying to read, still having vision trouble, said to my husband, I have to stop ignoring myself and make an eye appointment first thing on Monday morning. He glanced up and then reached down on the carpet under the end table & picked up the right lens to my glasses. OMG no wonder I couldnt get those corners folded right. Still laughing....,and wondering those ladies didnt notice I was wearing glasses with only 1 lens in them.
