Female Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) Taken with an Olympus E-3 and a Zuiko 70-300mm f4-5.6 Telephoto Lens 1/1600 sec, f7.1, 300mm, ISO-500 I used my car as a blind and with the window down approached slowly to within 15 feet from this very relaxed Snowy Owl. I got pictures of her last week and know where she likes to hang out right now, and found her to be very relaxed with no signs of stress at all by my presence both times I encountered and photographed her. She knew I was there and watched me the entire time, until she decided it was time to go hunting or off to another perch. I felt great that she allowed me each time to be so close to her. SW Manitoba
