Feminist Mai J. shared this link and adds: I was wondering if this group has ever talked about CEDAW and Americas refusal to sign it. It would be great to bring this matter to peoples attention, and maybe even open it up for discussion because I think many women in the west are not really aware of the ways in which their own government actively dismisses and contributes towards womens oppression. Here is a great link that helps explain it so that we can understand it well . I believe this is a great subject to discuss on... Western people are used to judge other cultures based on their own perspective. Looking at how other cultures look and judge at us, is interesting. Time for introspection.
