Ferguson, Mo, and the sermon The Crumbs Beneath the Table Mentality within the context of Lectionary Scripture. I had no idea the Ferguson, Mo, tragedy was going to occur, but it certainly affirms the fact that the eternal God walks amidst the Holy Catholic (universal church, which is inclusive of those who have died in Christ, the living, and the unborn). Speak to me Lord and keep speaking to me Lord. I wanted t take a course on the history of Christian liturgy, but it is not offered in the fall anymore. I just think it is so amazing how prophetic the Holy Spirit inspired preaching of the word can be in such a time as this. It is amazing that even Christ calls this Canaanite or Syrophoenician woman, a dog. Can you imagine how this passage as been used to justify to some currently very politically incorrect behaviors in the history of the church. Finally, it affirms Dr. Crutchfields support of the lectionary and the vision of Bishop Reddick in giving ministers the Upper Room Disciplines!
