Ferguson, a corrupt little place in a corrupt state. That there is any surprise that the Grand Jury decide not to prosecute beggars belief. It is not in the American legal psyche to actually allow a cop in a high profile case to be successfully prosecuted. Governments keep order through their Police Forces, and protect them right or wrong so the dice is loaded against the civilian, black or white, who falls foul of rogue cops. And there are good cops, many of them who are hamstrung by the system. However Racism is a major factor everywhere and it hamstrings the system further by victimizing the minority, be it in the UK or the US or Europe or indeed anywhere. .Rioting works as an unbeatable sign in a community that much is wrong and that is what makes it so sad. Institutions like governments rarely voluntarily offer any change to the status quo and usually have to have it dragged from them by violent and massive protest. Ive seen ferocious riots close up and been under martial law in the USA. It is not a good time or place to be black or white. But this is the way the world goes. So it is and always will it be.
