Fernando Varela will be in concert at 7 pm Tuesday, Nov. 11 in Dodson Auditorium at Kilgore College, presented through the Kilgore Community Concert Association. This strong, tenor voice is considered one of the fastest climbing stars in the entertainment today. Admission to the community concert series is by season ticket, available at the door for $45 each. Individual concert tickets are available for $30 each. Any ticket can be purchased through the KCC web site or at the door prior to the evening concert. Kilgore Community Concert Association is affiliated with Live on Stage. A native of Puerto Rico, Varela relocated with his parents to central Florida at the age of eight. While he loved music, he neither trained as a singer nor thought of becoming one until he was well into his teenage years. During his senior year, he was inspired to sing and was accepted into the Central Florida Lyrica Opera. During the next five years, he was transformed from an amateur singer into a dynamic professional performer. Fernando’s global performances span more than 31 countries in which he has won critical acclaim. He was thrust into the public eye during Season 8 of Americas Got Talent appearing alongside fellow tenors Josh Page and Hana Ryu.
