Ferrari Museums - calling all budding directors! Want to test your creativity and your ability to get a message across through a short film you script and shoot yourself? Well, now Ferrari and its Modena (Museo Enzo Ferrari –MEF) and Maranello Museums are giving you the chance! What and why A short film (of between 90 seconds and three minutes) to showcase the fact that Ferrari has two museums and that a visit to both will be a truly extraordinary experience: in Modena, visitors learn all about the life and history of the man that founded the company and then in Modena, they discover the company, its racing and road cars, both past and present. A short film that will be used on the official sites of both museums to introduce and promote them. Style and tone The Museums attract huge numbers of Italian and foreign visitors from all over the world: a mix of both dedicated Prancing Horse enthusiasts and the merely curious who come to discover the magic of Ferrari first-hand. The visitors are men, women and young people of all ages, often entire families. Aside from car exhibits and the spectacular Modena film experience which literally surrounds visitors with images projected onto ceiling and side walls, visitors will also enjoy driving simulators, the Ferrari Stores, tyre change competitions, and great snacks and light meals in the cafes. And so to suit this kind of audience, the films will have to be exciting, enticing and attractive with a tone not aimed at specialists or car nuts but at people who are curious to learn about Ferrari or want to make a dream come true, in a fun way. How to enter Send us your idea and then, via WeTransfer, a short film you’ve made to give us an example of your work. We will then choose a maximum of three of the most original proposals we feel to be most in line with the brief. These entrants will then be invited to visit the Museums and, on that occasion or immediately afterwards, present their definitive proposal indicating the timescale and methods that will be used to make the film. During the shoot, the winning entrant will be provided with accommodation by Ferrari in either Maranello and Modena. The chosen film will be presented with a focus on the film-makers with behind-the-scenes footage showcasing their talents. Proposals should reach us by July 21st.
