Few days back i consulted very famous skin specialist in Thrissur, Dr. Mercy Paul due to some allergic reaction on my skin. With the initial medications she gave, the allergic reaction reduced but my skin started peeling off like snake skin and started spreading to my face with pimples and heavy swelling. Because I was out of town at this time, I had a telephone conversation with doctor. This time she gave me another medicine and showed very little interest in further consultation by impolitely disconnecting the phone. However the new medicines she prescribed had no effect. In fact the condition got worsened and to be frank i got into depression. So my mom who was in Thrissur made an appointment to meet her. However her reaction was totally unexpected and shocking. She just said ‘BETTER CONSULT SOME OTHER DOCTOR’ Finally I had no other go but to visit another skin specialist in Chennai. And he told me that the reaction which had spread to my face and swelling was due to the overdose of medicines Dr.Mercy Paul had been administering to me. Now under this new doctor, I am gradually recovering. I wonder how could doctors be so ignorant about their patients!
