Few of the many things I really love when I am at home: 1. I have my own room and its bigger than the Crown Regencys. You can play badminton here while I am sleeping. 2. This is my favorite: the home cooked meals. In Cebu, everything is a routine. In the morning I eat a bagel. For lunch I have to go to a fast food chain for a panini or salad. Sometimes in a Carenderia. And at dinner-time, I either go to the buffet or eat another Panini. At home, my next meal is always a surprise, even when I’m doing the cooking myself. I have the luxury to say, “Pa, Ma what do you want to eat today?” Also, there’s nothing like the smell of the house when my mom is cooking dinner. I walk out of my room and am immediately overcome with the smell of grilled chicken, or chili, or fresh baked brownies, and cannot help but smile. 3. If I get bored watching tv or surfing on the internet, our mini library will be here to rescue. I am not sure if I have read all the books placed here but yeah, lami ra balik-balikon. 4. One thing that I have always noticed when I go home is how hard the water in the City. Here at home, our water is so soft and I find myself taking longer showers than usual. 5. Have you ever gone to any Provinces in our Country? What comes first registered into your mind? Fresh air, right? Home is so much more than just the physical house that we live in. It includes our family and all the small things that put a smile on our face. Its where when you are like at the top of the world (insert playing On The Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons) and its hard for you to get up to face the reality again. My body doesnt wanna go back to Cebu yet. :(
