FiT TiP: Get enough sleep! Sleep is essential for muscle recovery after a good strength training session in the gym. Yes, muscle recovery! Our muscles repair and replenish during our nights sleep and if youre lacking in the sleep department youre doing your body a great disservice. Sleep also keeps weight under control and allows stress relief. Not sleeping at night? **Turn off the TV or computer at least an hour or two before bed **Drink a soothing nighttime tea or warm milk **Read a book (not something that will keep you up thinking) **Play soothing music **Take a warm relaxing bath with lavender oil and candles lit **Use Lavender or Peace & Calm essential oils on your pillow **Journal to get the thoughts out of your head before sleep Cant turn off the lists going on in your head? **Keep a small notepad on your nightstand and write down that list that keeps repeating itself in your head. Then turn out the light and forget about it!
