Fiction or truth? What difference does it make. Some would say none at all. Others would say fiction is always better -- more action-packed, more possibilities in general. BENEATH THE POISON TREE is a true story. I have thought a lot about this question. I believe novels based on true stories are more powerful, more engaging at all levels. Why? True stories are often quirky, spinning off in unexpected directions as happens in real life. True stories dont play for the happy ending. They don’t resolve every conflict in a nice, neat package. True stories present more well-rounded characters. And in the case of BENEATH THE POISON TREE, the past may well represent your future! Could it be? Could Eva’s past be your future? Her struggles your struggles? Her demons your demons? Her faith your faith? Her forgiveness your forgiveness? Her hope your hope? Her triumph your triumph? Do you want to look into your future? Read BENEATH THE POISON TREE.
