Field Trials completed at Blois Friday and Saturday. Hettie was really up for it and hunted with real passion. Unfortunately on day one she ousted a hare, which she chased into a hedgerow and came out the other side with both the hare and a deer. She was nearly in the next commune and it took me a while to get her back. Onlookers did comment on her ground covering speed!. This makes for an elimination. Day two, unfortunately on the same piece of ground, which was not exactly a place you would expect to find pheasants, she again hunted well and responded to directions, but ----- once again she ousted a hare and off she went. This time she did respond to my whistles and shouts and returned quite quickly but again an elimination. We were not the only ones having problems as some were eliminated after having found hens in peoples gardens!!! Hettie enjoyed herself. Roll on next time!
