Fifty one years ago today I woke up for the last time as Marilyn Hatchell with two things on my mind. First my hair looked good; the hair dresser had really come through. Hoped it would hold up for the four oclock wedding. And Secondly, I knew I was marrying a good man, one I could rely on and trust for as long as we both were alive. I wasnt sure which path we would take, but I wasnt worried, for I knew we would walk it together. And we have, all along the way, at every turn, every uphill battle, every day the sun didnt shine, every time of success, every moment of celebration. I also knew on that day that he would make a great father, and again, it was true. Suzanne, John and Matt would say that as well. We have come a long way together, Jack, and it has been great. Happy Anniversary. The hair didnt hold up, but happily the marriage did.
