Fifty-one years ago today, March 10, 1963, the Ervin Graham Family plane went down in a field south of LaJunta, CO, fatally injuring Madelyn, Johnny and Mike Graham. By the grace of God, Ervin Graham survived this crash, though if youd seen the wreckage, youd not know how. Although he had many critical injuries, along with terribly severe burns, in time Erwin came back to enjoy a good part of his health and lived many more years to serve others. When my dad was killed in automobile accident on 7-12-64, before I even knew of Daddys fatality, Ervin was already enroute, flying to Albuquerque to pick up my family and me, then taking me to the Plainview airport, where he had pre-arranged with Mike Hutcherson to have a twin-engine Beech awaiting to transport us to Dallas where my mother lay gravely injured in St Paul Hospital. Wonderful memories of a wonderful family. Thankful to God for what the Graham Family has been to the Plainview and surrounding area. Judy, were thinking of you today.
