Filbert and Peregrine’s impromptu hostage negotiator training involved watching back-to-back showings of “Proof of Life”, mostly for Meg Ryan, but they did learn a few mediation techniques along the way: stall, promise him anything, bait and switch, switch the bait, twitch and wait.
