Film updates MAX A fragile neglected boy who hides his insecurities and feels protected by guns, is forced into a journey to find a place where he can belong. GRANDMA An obsessive fault finder who has not forgiven the young man that disgraced her daughter, and projects it unto his son Max. She has made it her mission to straighten out who she sees as her unredeemable grandson. OLD MAN GRANT A vagabond and also Vietnam veteran who suffers from PTSD due to his traumatic experiences and has learned to live off the grid.
