Filmmaking Community: We live in an over-saturated market of extremely talented people. There isnt one of us here that wouldnt sacrifice everything to make an impact in the world with our art. I mean, hell, our entire lives revolve around making awesome content, influencing our peers, showing off and even bettering our skills and ourselves as individuals. But, its easy to get caught up in it all and forget that were all human and were all in this for the same reasons. Some more driven than others. I just want to take this time to say that no matter what weve been through, thick or thin, disagreements of triumphs - I have learned a lot over the last few years and Im sure you have too. So, whatever it is that you dedicate yourself to every day, do it with pride and know that the next man or woman is NOT better than you. You are unique and you deliver YOUR OWN CREATIVE EDGE just as they do. But, also remember to LIVE. Remember that your life is what you make it. If you let the industry consume you, it shatters everything else around you. Your drive, while seemingly innocent to you, pushes people away. You may not notice at first, but years down the road, whether youre successful or not, you will take a look around and see that your circle has shrunk and those around you are not what you had imagined. To sum it up, take a break every once and a while. Live life. Go see a movie, listen to some music, walk on the beach, get married, have kids, high-five some random guy walking down the street. Whatever. Just make the days count. Best wishes to everyone in 2014. Lets kick some ass!
