Egypt Interesting Stats : Final : - K Irving converted all his 6 three point attempts to emerge top scorer with 26 points - USA scored 15 three pointers out of 30 (50%) & in contrast Serbia could score only 5 out of 25 three point attempts (20%). This was the major difference !! - Kyrie Irving of USA was rewarded the Most Valuable Player award - All Star 5 of the championship : Kyrie Irving (USA), Kenneth Faried (USA), Milos Teodosic (Serbia), Nicolas Batum (France) & Pau Gasol (Spain) - USA, winners of the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey, claimed their fifth world crown, pulling them even with Yugoslavia for the most in history. Yugoslavia are also the last team to repeat as world champions in 1998 and 2002. Brazil also accomplished the feat in 1959 and 1963 - Serbia secured their best placing under the Serbian flag as runners-up - USA won all their 9 matches to remain as the only unbeaten team in the championship - Spain & Greece lost only one match each but finished 5th & 9th respectively!! - Brazil & Slovenia lost two matches each to finish 6th & 7th respectively - France, Lithuania, Turkey, Croatia, Argentina, Australia, Angola, Ukraine lost 3 matches each to finish at 3rd, 4th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 17th, 18th spots resp !!!!!!! - But Serbia, who lost 4 matches, finished at 2nd spot i.e. runner-up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Asian teams viz Iran, Philippines & Korea finished at 20th, 21st & 23rd spot resp !!! - Can we compare Asian Standard to the World? So what about us??????????
